Many creative writers attend the public educational system to sharpen their prose and poetry skills, and this author certainly applauds all who make such a grand effort. However, the question becomes, is it necessary to invest multiplied thousands of dollars on colleges the average person cannot afford. Is the same thing available for less money? The answer is yes.
The pioneers of yesteryear provided a mentoring system for their children because they understood the need for education and progression. Indeed, many of America’s leaders who were instrumental in forming this great nation were tutored at home. Those who dare to challenge the mentoring system should keep this in mind.

As you can see, one’s skills are not limited by a mentored education. In fact, today’s populace is so disconcerted with traditional education that over one million disgruntled families now mentor their children at home.
We might ask the question: Do parents qualify as mentors? Indeed, some parents are even high school dropouts. Even so, the National Home Education Research Institute reports mentored children outscore their public school counterparts by 30%. As more and more people realize the advantages of private tutoring, the number of home mentored children continues to grow.
Perhaps the real question is, what qualifies a person to teach? According to the dictionary, teaching is “imparting knowledge of or skill in; giving instructions”. By definition, mentors would certainly qualify as bonafide teachers.
The traditional system finally sees the need for salvaging children who have fallen between the cracks. They are providing a new system for these children. And who is doing the teaching? Mentors. Is this a silent confession that holding every student equal to a given goal is ridiculous?
Here’s what the mentoring system can offer you:
·Instead of being assigned a number like a prisoner in cell bock D, your mentor will know you on a first name basis
·Your mentor will be available daily to answer your questions and guide you through the mire of journalistic rules.
·You compete only with yourself as the mentor escorts you from your present level to your individual highest potential
·The mentoring system is available at nearly half the price you would expect to pay in the traditional system.
·You will be certified in the courses you take
* Educational patterns and rules vary from school to school.
Indeed, the mentoring system is at least equal to traditional teaching. In some cases, it even surpasses it.

Mentoring for your success aligns you with persons who already know the way to success. By far the most logical way to approach than making unnecessary mishaps while exploring for the appropriate line to your goals especially with a little bit of help from your mentor you will be on that path. You can learn a lot in school but there is nothing like hands on training and that is what mentoring for your success is giving you, a special opportunity to learn those unique tricks of the trade from and expert.

Supervision is not a new concept. The execution method and amount of supervision required varies depending on the situation. Supervision is necessary as it not only enhances workers knowledge and skills of their job, but also provides psychological support so that they can perform their responsibilities with self-assurance. Supervision also ensures maintenance and implementation of high quality work.
Coaching supervision:
Like other workers coaches also need supervision in order to enhance their skills. However, the supervision given to coaches is quite different from the management supervision in companies. In this competitive world, hiring coaches is becoming increasingly popular; therefore, it is necessary for coaches, in turn, to deliver their best. Hence, they undergo supervision to hone their skills because it allows them to reflect and review their job performance.
Most associations involved in the field of coaching recognize the benefits of coaching supervision. Organizations like European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) are involved in the promotion of good quality coaching as well as mentoring. For a coach to be able to bring about good results, it is important for them to be provided adequate training and education. It is also essential for them to share both professional and personal details to acquire the best advice. The approach ought to be more about self-discovery, rather than mere performance. Hence, enhancement of performance along with personal growth should be the priority. Mentoring plays an important role in ensuring this as the emphasis is based on guiding a person in the right direction instead of providing a list of skills that need to be achieved. Mentoring with a Mission
Mentoring is a challenging skill that requires more than just training on communication skills. Before you send your Supervisors to leadership training, coaching training or a course in Management 101, put these processes in place first in order to truly drive change for your business and create Mentors that have a mission.
1. Provide A Mentoring Mission Statement.
Just like travelers need a map to know where they are going, Mentors need a mentoring mission statement to know their direction and understand whether they are approaching their destination. Implement this Mentoring Mission Statement so that all of your Mentors know their direction and have a gauge of whether they are all achieving the desired goals:
Mentoring Mission Statement:
“Inspire others to continually strive for higher levels of performance through creative and strategic methods that are always focused to achieving your goals.”
2. Expand On The Mission.
Now that you have a mentoring mission statement, you don’t want it to be just a sign on the wall. You want to make sure that everyone truly LIVES and BREATHES the mission. Put a standard in place that all of your Mentors spend five minutes at the end of every day evaluating their daily performance as a mentor. They must ask themselves 4 questions:
Was I inspiring?
Was I focused to higher levels of performance?
Was I creative and strategic in my mentoring methods?
Was I focused to achieving the goals of this company?
3. Focus On The Mentors’ Behaviors.
What does inspiring mean? If I just tell the mentors to “be inspiring”, they may all have a different opinion of what that means. Brainstorm with them on the words and phrases that are inspiring and the actions that are inspiring. Here are some examples:
INSPIRING WORDS AND PHRASES:
“I appreciate your effort on this project.”
“I trust your judgment.”
“Thank you for your assistance with our new employee.”
“I value your feedback on the new process.”
INSPIRING ACTIONS:
Model the desired behaviors that you expect.
Make eye contact when speaking.
Greet everyone at the beginning of their shift.
Post your daily results so everyone knows what they are accomplishing.
4. Hold Your Mentors Accountable.
Just like front-line employees are held accountable for doing their job, Mentors must also be held accountable. Once you have the list of inspiring words and actions, be sure to observe their daily communications with the employees to see if they are doing what they are supposed to do. Do you see your Supervisors in their offices all day? Are your Supervisors constantly in meetings? Are Supervisors reading and analyzing reports rather than meeting with employees? Be sure that your Supervisors are spending time with their employees in order to drive change for your business.
5. Spend Time Mentoring Your Mentors.
Watch and listen to your Mentors communicating with your front-line employees. Is the word choice positive and passionate? Is the tone inflected to show enthusiasm? Is the body language positive to show interest and engagement? (Smiling, nodding head, open arms instead of crossed arms, etc.) Are there probing questions being asked to show concern and involvement? These are key behaviors that must be demonstrated in order to be inspiring and help others succeed.
6. Meet With Each Mentor.
Once you have observed each Mentor coaching the employees, sit down with each Mentor individually and come up with a mentoring plan. Each of your Mentors has strengths and opportunities for improvement. Some of your Mentors may not be using inspiring words. Others may not be modeling the desired behaviors. Others may not feel comfortable communicating with employees regarding behaviors that need to change. Communicate with each Mentor what the focus behavior is that you would like to change. Set a time frame for changing that behavior and hold each one accountable for making those changes.
The success of your business is hinging on the skills of your Mentors. If your front-line Supervisors are simply checking time sheets, participating in meetings or reading reports, you are not gaining the greatest return on investment from your Mentors. Your Mentors are the key to driving change in your business. Help your Mentors to learn how to mentor with the mission of driving change and producing higher performance!
